Spiraea Cantoniensis (syn. S lanceata) "Flore Pleno" May Bush
Spiraea "Flore Pleno" or "Flowering May" shrubs are grown for their ornamental appeal and toughness, once established.
The shrub is deciduous and has a stunning, Spring display with its white double blooms on soft arching branches. The flowers cover over the plant creating a beautiful eye-catching sight.
Flowering May's also make lovely informal hedges or screens.
A great addition to any garden due to its drought tolerance and flowering display.
Planting: Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into the hole so that soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water in even if the soil is moist.
Care: Always ensure regular watering is provided for your new plants. The plants may need watering for around 12 weeks or until they are established depending on time of year and weather conditions once planted.
Good mulching will assist to reduce weeds and maintain moisture levels. Maintain fresh growth, shape and promote dense habit by pruning after main flowering time. Feed in early Spring with a good all-purpose fertiliser.
Using tubestock is a great advantage for planting in your garden as they will establish quickly with the appropriate care.
