Callistemon "Tangerine Dream" / Bottlebrush "Tangerine Dream" is a lovely ornamental medium shrub with a mass of large, gold tipped tangerine coloured bottlebrush flowers. Main flowering flush is through  Spring but the flowers can appear throughout the year. Another feature of this plant is the new growth which is a lovely pink.

With this beautiful irresistible display, comes the bird life making it a lovely addition to the native/cottage garden. Prefers well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Once established it is drought and frost tolerant. 

Ideal in your garden as a screen or informal hedge, feature plant, decorative pots or scattered planting through a garden bed.



Planting
: Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into the hole so that soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water in even if the soil is moist.

Care: Always ensure regular watering is provided for your new plants. The plants may need watering for around 12 weeks or until they are established depending on time of year and weather conditions once planted. 

Good mulching will assist to reduce weeds and maintain moisture levels. Maintain fresh growth, shape and promote dense habit by pruning after main flowering time. Feed in early Spring with a low phosphorus fertiliser.
